The MyForcesEmployment online community is designed to provide a platform for Service leavers, veterans, reservists, and their families to share experiences, ask questions, and get support on their career journey.
If you are new to the Forces Employment Charity you can register today to get access to your new online community. We’ll ask for some information about you, your circumstances, and your career goals.
Once registered, you will be given a dedicated Career Advisor and receive an email with your access and login information for your online community.

Your username for MyForcesEmployment is the email address you used to register with “.fec” at the end.
E.g.: [email protected]
If you forget your password, you can click on Forgot Your Password? on our login page. You’ll receive an email with instructions to reset your password almost immediately.
If you forget your username, and adding “.fec” to your email address is not working, please email us at [email protected] and one of our support team will help you.”
We have a few different groups available, and you can find our Chat Groups from the main navigation bar.
To get started, choose the group you are interested in and click Join Group at the top of the group page. Once you have joined, you can post a question or update and start talking to your community.
If you encounter inappropriate content or behaviour, you can report it to our moderators by clicking the flag button near the post or comment.
Go to our contact us page under your profile menu in the top right corner of the screen. Fill out our contact form and choose Advisor Contact as the Community Case Reason.
You can update your settings and details by going to your settings and details. Here, you can customise how and when you want to be notified. You can also change your contact information, service details or employment information.
Note: Editing your email address will only update your email address for MyForcesEmployment notifications. To update your email address for all communications with Forces Employment Charity, please contact us directly.
You can change your profile photo by navigating to your profile photo page. You can then upload a new picture from your device.
To remove yourself from MyForcesEmployment, please contact us via our contact us page, or email us directly at [email protected] to request to close your account.
We will respond to your request and close your account.
Note: Removing your community user will not affect your access to our other services, newsletters, and events. However, you will lose access to chat groups, exclusive articles and content hosted in MyForcesEmployment, as well as access to mentoring.
If at any point you would like to reactivate your MyForcesEmployment account, please get in touch with us.
In MyForcesEmployment, navigate to My mentorships. Here, you can view and manage your current and past mentorships.
To conclude your mentoring relationship, open your current mentorship by clicking on the relevant Mentoring Relationship Number.
With your MyForcesEmployment login, you get access to an exhaustive list of mentors who are experts in the industry you are interested in. Once you connect with a mentor, they will provide you with personalised guidance for your professional development.

You can view all our mentors on our Available mentors page under Mentoring. Search by sector or function and have a read of our mentors’ profiles to find a mentor suitable for your goals.
Once you find a mentor to your liking, click on their name. It will direct you to their profile, where you can read more about their Areas of Expertise and Experience. Click on the Request Mentor button in the top right corner, fill out the form (make sure to complete all sections) then click submit.
The mentor will then review your request and get back to you within two weeks. Please note, our mentors are not employed by the Forces Employment Charity but are industry professionals giving up their time to mentor you. If you do not hear back from your chosen mentor, please let us know via our contact us page.
