Peter left the British Infantry in 2012, after a busy 12-year career, during which he did multiple tours of Afghanistan, Iraq and Northern Ireland, and held postings in Kenya and Somalia.
After retiring, Peter worked in corporate security before founding his own business, Toro, in 2015. Toro is a security risk management firm that keeps businesses, governments, and private clients safe by blending cyber and physical security and educating clients about the ever-evolving threat landscape.
In 2017 Peter co-founded a non-profit called TechVets to help service leavers, veterans and spouses seek mentors, training and careers in the technology and cyber sectors. TechVets is now a programme within the Forces Employment Charity, which supports the much wider employment needs of veterans and spouses.
Peter is a Trustee of the Royal Anglian Regiment Charity and supports The Royal British Legion’s London Poppy Day.
