Ian was previously a Trustee of RFEA and has been a Trustee of the Forces Employment Charity since the combination with the Officers’ Association employment services in May 2022.  He is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and is Chair of the Finance Committee.  He is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Global Ship Lease, Inc., a New York listed containership owner. He was previously Chief Financial Officer at CP Ships Limited, a containership operator, after 17 years with PriceWaterhouse, the last five as an audit partner.

Ian, who is a graduate of Cambridge University, served for 16 years, mostly in the Territorial Army.
